samurai girl

"do you own a samurai in your house?" intuitive bong asked me late this afternoon, right after our meditation class.

"no..." i replied, although a samurai i saw at my first cousin's house came to mind. "why?"

"because i keep seeing you doing like this—"he said, making waving and brandishing motions with his arms ."—with a samurai."

oh. hehe.

teacher p. keeps telling me i am a female warrior. a samurai in my past life.

which is maybe why i feel that i'm in constant battle with life. which is another story.

when you're fully in the present, in the "now," that is eternity.

and another aha!

My Way - Horoscopes: "Decide now. It doesn't matter whether you're shopping for strategies or staring at the lunch menu. You have to move on from this point. Better informed colleagues will gladly assist you if you'll let them."

aha!

My Way - Horoscopes: "You face different challenges than you faced yesterday, but they're still challenges. Now you find yourself unable to decide between increasingly attractive choices. There must be something funny going on with the stars. They keep pushing buttons that you thought didn't matter any more. You'll waste your time if you look for a conclusive answer. Take what you can from this experience and walk away with head held high, glad that you were able to get anything at all. Physical activity is a fine cure for too much thinking. The chemical reactions within your body release calming wisdom in your brain."

BLUE

blue, been feeling blue. it's as if a cloud descended over me this week.

accidental movie marathon

was killing time by browsing through channels when i chanced upon this cute movie. don't know the title, though. starring that girl from father of the bride and a very cute, quite mature and scruffy looking patrick dempsey—my longtime crush during my teenager years (!).

the part i like was when girl sought the guy—chased him across new york (syet, nyc ba?) and went to this island to look for him, yada, yada, yada. ah, so nice to see a girl so determined to make things happen.

but then again, it's just a movie.

hello, teacher

i am so happy to have met teacher DM. funny—my happiness was sort of sealed when a guy in a metallic–colored toyota altis rudely cut in front of me in galleria tonight. he was a heavy set guy (i could see him behind his magic tint windows) and he kept cupping the chin of the girl in the passenger seat. no offense, but...eeewww!

anyway. i thought he was a jerk for cutting in front of me, even though i had so kindly let the previous car pass through. salit–salit, right?

which brings me to think: wow, am i glad to have met a guy who spreads the peace and is not a jerk at all. medyo rare breed na yata ang mga katulad ni teacher DM. somewhat.

a nice late sunday morning

trevor and i woke up at around 1030 this morning, to a still, quiet, cloudy morning. i was happy because for once, he got to sleep for more hours than usual. oh, i can just feel those bones growing!

we've been together for the past four days. as in together. like two peas in a pod. i took two days leave from work and we just went around the city, gallivanting (hee-hee), swimming, eating, shopping for cheap stuff.

which is why i haven't been updating my blogs. hee-hee.

in those four days, i feel that he has learned a lot from me, and i have learned a lot from him. he is still my little teacher.

and the best of them all

one sad rainy afternoon (that wasn't so sad after all)

trying to find stillness in a café. bob marley was there to comfort me, all 52 songs. i sat in a corner, eyes puffy from crying, heart a bit broken.

i decided to give out what was left of my heart to people i love and care about, and people i was lucky to meet in passing.

i've never been an avid texter until a few months ago, but today i texted what i really, really felt about them at that moment. good thoughts. i gave away myself, because, in reality, nothing is really lost.

what i learned is this: what i gave out came back to me a hundred-fold. wonder.

an incredibly tough woman i interviewed: nice of u 2 drop a line—i thot u didnt knw my name?

my wonderful dad, running for sangguniang bayan member, whom i should be spending more time with: thanks i am aspiring to be no. one this time

a girl i met only once, but feel so "ga-an" with, and whom i would like to get to know more: hi sandra! :-) you're sweet! :-D of course kit-anay! I'm convinced na, mapa intuitive na ko haha! See yah, see yah ha?

and my precious friend, with whom i feel the strongest attachment to, who've taught me so many things, who've figured so much in my life: uuu kanami gid uu.

ching.jpg the nicest little boy in the world

had a nice time this weekend with you, little soulmate.

no choice, new blog

waaaah!boo-hoo-hoo!hikbi!

just when i've added a tagboard and links to my ol' reliable bloggie, it was suddenly unchangeable! i've tried posting and it has not budged one bit. i tried re-starting my computer. i tried opening a new window. i tried waiting before visiting the blog again. no such luck.

"must be the mac," baba the guiding force told me soothingly. "either that, or it needs time to upload."

i could only growl back.
